CARPE DIEM: The Raw Reality
Mental Health is something that is rarely discussed which leads to the misunderstanding of what it means to have a mental illness and how to seek treatment. These misunderstandings begin to form negative stigmas that make it harder for those struggling to find help.
On this edition of Carpe Diem, host and TVDM major Amanda Eustice sits down with Kara Constantine and Samantha Renfree, in an effort to normalize and destigmatize mental health. These two women discuss their personal insight on acceptance and seeking treatment for their struggles.
Carpe Diem also spoke to three other young women, Megan Wochowski, Carley Tomesco and Julia Pagano, who have all agreed to share their journeys to recovery. Dr. Jaclyn-Friedman-Lombardo and Licensed Social Worker Samantha Findlay, professionals in the field, help to further the viewer's understanding and to provide more information on the various mental health treatments that exist.
This episode was produced by TVDM major Victoria Ballinger and Julia Pagano, hosted by TVDM major Amanda Eustice, and directed by TVDM major Andrew Amiano.
